Ozzy Osbourne has described the reaction of his fans to the announcement of the title to his forthcoming album, due out in July (to coincide with Ozzfest 2010). The album, which was to be known as Soul Sucka (which is mince (colloq. means “crap”), if I’m being honest), will be renamed. The Prince of Darkness told Rolling Stone:
“When we put Soul Sucka on the Internet none of my fanbase liked the title. They were like, ‘I can’t imagine walking round the house with the words ‘Soul Sucka’ on my t-shirt.’
“So I was like, ‘F’k it – I’ve got to come up with something else’.”
This year, the Ozzy Band will be without the not incosiderable talents of Zakk Wylde who was ditched by Ozzy last year (following the much-publicised “breakdown in communications” between Ozzy and Zakk). Instead, Ozzy will continue to play with shredder Gus G (of Firewind fame) – see vid below for Ozzy and Gus G playing Mr. Crowley.
