Trivia:    Played guitar on Lulu’s “Shout” in 1964 and Tom Jones’ 1965 hit, “It’s Not Unusual”.  Has an OBE, awarded in 2005 for charity work with homeless children in Brazil.  Performed in Led Zeppelin re-union concert in 2007.  Was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2008 from the University of Surrey.  Will be seen soon in rockumentary “It Might Get Loud” alongside U2’s The Edge and Jack White of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

Weapon(s) of Choice:  In the Yardbirds he played a Fender Telecaster before moving on to play Gibson Les Paul guitars, predominantly.  Also used a Gibson EDS 1275 twin-neck guitar used to record several of his best known songs including Led Zeppelin’s magnificent “Stairway to Heaven”.  Has also been known to play Danelectro guitars.
