Weapon(s) of Choice: Mainly plays Fender Stratocasters (has his own signature model) and sometimes a Fender Telecaster or a Gibson Les Paul. Uses Fender and Marshall Amplifiers. Effects pedals include wah-wah pedal, fuzz, echo and distortion pedals. Prefers to use thumb and sometimes fingers rather than a plectrum.
Trivia: Could have been in both the Rolling Stones (he was invited to audition but was allegedly kept waiting by the band and he didn’t wait around… the job went to Ron Wood) and Pink Floyd (to replace Syd Barrett but they allegedly didn’t have the nerve to ask him – David Gilmour became guitarist instead). Collaborations with Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, David Bowie and very recently with Morrissey on his 9th studio album release entitled “Years of Refusal”.
