New Deftones album on the way in May Free Legal Download Track Here

Deftones are well underway with production of their new album entitled Diamond Eyes, due for release on 18 May 2010.  Check out the Deftones MySpace page here where you can get a link to a legal, free download of their latest single Rocket Skates.  NOTE THAT THIS TRACK WON’T BE FREE FOR LONG SO MOVE FAST!

Diamond Eyes will replace their unfinished work Eros, which was abandoned after Deftones bass guitar player Chi Cheng was seriously hurt in a car crash back in 2008 (see original BBC news story here). Cheng is reported to be unable to talk or move but is still undergoing intensive treatment – so bass guitar duties were taken up by ex-Quicksand bassist Sergio Vega.
